Biography

Jack A. Markell (born November 26, 1960) is an American politician who has been the Governor of Delaware since 2009. Markell, a member of the Democratic Party, served as Treasurer of Delaware from 1999 to 2009 and was the Chair of the Democratic Governors Association for 2010. He is Delaware’s first Jewish governor.
